Zipline/Lost River Adventure Day!

So we were supposed to go to the beach on Thursday, but it was too chilly.  Instead, my Dad suggested Lost River.   We loved it!   We went in all the caves except for the Lemon Squeezer (my Dad was afraid he would get stuck and my Mom was just afraid).  We had lunch looking out on the White Mountains.  Then, my parents took us to Loon Mountain and surprised us with a ride on a zip-line that crosses the Pemigewasset River. You had to climb up 4 stories to get to the platform.  It was a little scary jumping off, but so much fun.  Dimitri was able to do it and he loved it too!

July 4th at Club Sarantis!

We had a pool party (our 4th annual) for July 4th.   My friends and I had so much fun.  I think the grown ups did too.  Lots of swimming, s'mores, capture the flag, zip lining, etc.   Thanks to everyone for making it so fun:  Grant, Caroline, Jocelyn, Zachary, Zack, Mason, James, Maddie, Nathan, Linnie & Willy.

Road Tripping'!

This year for April vacation we went on a family road trip.  First stop:  Pez Factory in CT then straight to the Poconos where we hiked Bushkill Falls.  Then onto Philadelphia.  There we took a double decker bus ride and toured the Penn Arboretum.  Amish Country was our next stop.  We stayed in a real caboose there and took a ride on a real steam train and I got to drive a horse and buggy to a working Amish farm.  From there we headed for Hershey.  It was rainy and cold so we stuck to the store and the trolley tour.  We did get to make our very own candy bars though!  Lastly, we went to NYC!  Our hotel was right on the Hudson River and we took a ferry over to the city.   We hit Times Square and then took a crazy taxi ride to One World Observatory and the 9/11 Memorial.  Being up 1700 feet was pretty freaky but cool.  We were all wiped out by the end of the week!

And Then He Was 6...

Dimitri had his 6th Birthday party tonight. He had 6 of his friends come and celebrate with him.  They loved playing games and the basement and then chasing Dad and Chief in the backyard after pizza and cake! His birthday is actually on Sunday.
